500 pieces, 19 1/4 x 26 5/8 in. complete.
For ages 13 and older.
This fanciful puzzle features an image of a cherished work by one of the most successful and original American painters and illustrators of the early twentieth century. The Dinkey-Bird, c. 1904, by Maxfield Parrish (1870–1966) was commissioned by Edward Bok to illustrate poems by Eugene Field. The work first appeared in Bok’s Ladies Home Journal and later accompanied Field’s Poems of Childhood. The Dinky-Bird richly renders the realm of the imagination with sharp-focus realism for which Parrish was known.
Made in the United States exclusively for The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art, Winter Park, Florida.
